Our Story

Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity for individuals and families in the Akron area. GSHC was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in May 1982.

Weekly Food Distribution

Our primary program. We distribute food and produce across 5 locations throughout Greater Akron during the last 3 weeks of every month.
